Founded in 1982 by the La family, immigrants from Vietnam, Kim Son Restaurant made its mark in Houston’s Chinatown area. The restaurant moved to a larger facility in just ten months, responding to the overwhelming demand. Recognizing an opportunity to capitalize on the high demand for banquet hall and reception facilities, Tan La and Tri La established Golden Mountain, Inc., dba Kim Son Restaurant.

With HBDi’s financing, they transformed a 9,000-square-foot facility in the vibrant Second Ward/Navigation area. Featuring an extensive menu of over 250 dishes, Kim Son Restaurant serves Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine, delighting diners with traditional flavors and exceptional dining experiences. Through this expansion, Kim Son Restaurant has created ten full-time and forty part-time jobs, contributing to the local workforce and economy.
